This was a great and simple to follow guide on the xs sports indoor training bike. You laid it all out clearly and showed examples that helped emphasize your various points. This guide will be very useful for people like me.
This is the type of information some so-called professional bloggers will love to hide from public knowledge. I’m so happy I found your blog
Hi there,
I felt that there just wasn’t a good detailed review on the XS Sports exercise bike.
Its a bike I really enjoy using and for the price of it, it’s an absolute steal!
Wow…that was indeed cheap for such a great spinning bike.
Great article and very thorough. As I was reading through I was just waiting for the big BUT, since the price which was mentioned early on kind of made me expect that there would be issues with durability. But surprisingly not.
Im amazed that it’s even possible to build a bike like that and ship it across the globe for such a low price.
Hi Lars,
You would think there is the big BUT wouldn’t you? However, this exercise bike is definitely worth every bit of money. I mean it may not have all the bells and whistles that some of the more expensive exercise bike do but it provides an incredible workout every time!
Goodness! I just got excited reading this article. This is so timely because I am planning to get some lovely home exercise kits, It’s being a struggle hitting the gym after work and having to attend to my kids. So home exercises are looking pretty appealing to me at the moment. Thanks for this review, I’m off to check this out.
Hi Funmi,
I’m glad you liked the review. I understand where you’re coming from, working all day, going to the gym and then looking after the kids (which can be a mission itself) is quite tough. You could purchase your own exercise bike and workout from home.
Easy!
Sounds like a great stationary bike. I have an old one and will be in the market soon so I was happy to come across your review. You mentioned you have this bike yourself. and I was wondering how long you have used it and what you think after use?
Hi Dennis,
I’ve had the bike for just over a month now and use it everyday…I’ve made it my morning ritual!
I have to say, when I first bought the bike I felt I may have to sacrifice quality for the price but that’s far from the case. It’s an incredibly robust bike.

Hi Mhasanalvi,
I’m glad you enjoyed reading my review.
It certainly is an incredible bike for the price. It has amazing reviews on Amazon. If your after a cheap and strong bike, you should look into this one.
Hi Ronan,
Thanks for the helpful review, really well written.
Now it’s almost been a year since you’ve had the bike, how does it hold up after time? I’ve read reviews on eBay that after 6 months (e.g. the flywheel starts to develop rust, the hand pads begin to rip).
Thanks
Jim
Hi Jim,
Glad I can help!
Well, I’ve been training on this bike almost everyday and I have to say I haven’t had any real bother with it at all!
I have seen the reviews on the bike before but it really depends how you keep your bike.
For example, I currently have mine in a spare room and it used constantly so there’s no sign of any rust.
Honestly, the only problem I have is having to clean up the fibres that fall off the felt pads that causes the resistance on the flywheel but this is bound to happen due to the nature of friction being applied.
I highly recommend the bike!
Hope this helps!
Hi Ronan,
Thanks for getting back to me, yes that helps massively! Based on this I’ve now purchased the bike too.
Wishing you all the best and keep up the great work.
Jim
Great to hear Jim, I wish you all the best!
Hi Ronan, quick question:
Can you set the resistance on the bike to whatever is preferred? Eg, if I was looking for an intense 30 minute session, could I set the resistance level quite high and really sweat it out?
Hi Jack,
Yes, so the XS Sports bike (just like most other spin bikes) has a turn dial in front where you can turn it clockwise to really crank up the resistance.
This will engage the friction pads more against the flywheel, creating the resistance needed.
However, a couple of turns on this bike and you’ll really feel your legs working!
If you are looking for a good 30 minute session to really melt that fat. I would recommend warming up for at least 5 minutes to get the blood flowing and then interval train for 20 minutes.
Crank the resistance high for 30 seconds and the turn it back down for 30 seconds.
For the last 5 minutes, set to a low resistance and just cycle for a cooldown.
Gives an ultimate fat blaster but will keep you free from injury plus allow you to get back on the bike sooner!
Hope this helps
